This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for SW Compliance and Safety Training Institute’s website  This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website.  It will notify you of the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it will be used and with whom it may be shared (we do not share user information with outside vendors or others not approved by the end user).

SWC Safety is committed to protecting the privacy and accuracy of confidential information to the extent possible, subject to provisions of state and federal law. Other than as required by laws that guarantee public access to certain types of information, or in response to subpoenas or other legal instruments that authorize access, personally-identifiable information is not actively shared. In particular, we do not re-distribute or sell personal information collected on our web servers.

SWC Safety is committed to providing its users good privacy practices regarding electronic personal information. We operate computer systems that are developed by our technical group and also partner with external organizations for our job listing/resume database and workforce development services. Information collected by our in-house systems is used to provide and tailor services to our customers. Information is also used to construct aggregate reports that assist us in program planning.  Any information shared with third parties is only shared in aggregate form.

Data collected by the company for in-house database management systems are stored in a secure SQL server. These systems use "cookies" and some collect system information such as IP address and browser versions. Collection and access to student information is governed by campus and federal policy under the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).


We may use “cookies” on this site.  A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site.  For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in with a password more than once, thereby saving time logging into our website.  Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests and needs of our users to enhance the experience on our site.  Usage of the cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our website.

Use of Cookies for Analytics

Our website uses a third-party analytics provider (Google Analytics) to help us understand how visitors use our site. We use this information to improve our content and your experience visiting our site. Google Analytics relies on cookies to produce this information. Google Analytics does not receive personally identifiable information through these cookies and is prohibited from combining, matching or cross-referencing information from our site with any other information. Although our website has enabled settings to respect “Do-not-track” requests sent by users who wish to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking(link is external), our site also makes use of page caching to improve site performance. Therefore, unless you are logged in with your personal ID and password, you will get the generic(anonymous user) version of each page, which will include Google Analytics tracking code and JavaScript even if you send “Do-not-track” requests.  However, Google also provides tools for those who wish to opt out of Google Analytics(link is external), which will function whether or not you are logged into the site.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone outside of our company or this website.  You may choose to share your information on our website database platforms with your company or others by selecting that option on the website account you set up.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us.  We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order or to meet a workforce requirement for the state.  You will have prior knowledge of the information usage for third parties that are partnered with the company for workforce development.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time.  You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

In order to use this website, a user must first complete the registration information online.  During the registration process a user is required to provide certain information that is specific to them and their company (such as name, email, home or work address, etc..).  This information is used to contact you about the products or services on our site in which you have expressed interest or would like to have access to our online content.  At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender, age, workforce requirements or job prospects and interests, or other workforce development information to better enable us to help you tailor your profile and information for future work opportunities.  The workforce information is not required but is useful to aid you in your career and future work endeavors.

Payment with Registration

We request information form you on our online registration form and for your profile.  To buy from us, you must provide certain minimum information (like name, shipping address, card address to pay by credit, and phone number and email address) and financial information (like a credit card, valid address, and expiration date and card codes).  This information is used only for billing and payment purposes and to fill your personal orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you to correct any issue in the payment system.


We may share aggregated demographic information with our state partners in workforce development and for courses used for certification to verify specific information to process your courses and certifications.  This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person, except for where it is appropriate to complete a government requirement for workforce development statistics.

We partner with another trade association and environmental, safety and health partners to enhance your experience and capabilities and provide additional services for workforce development.  When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services.  If you agree to sign up for an account which provides an identification card and include health information on your profile, you have an option to opt in or out of this section and to keep this information private depending on the job and your personal preferences.  This service is not provided to outside parties and is only available by you or through your profile via your personal Identification card as you specify.  You may opt in or out or not fill in any information based on your personal preferences.

We use an outside credit card processing company to bill users for courses and services or goods.  These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond the filling of your orders and courses.


We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Where ever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.  You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for the “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web Page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline.  Only employees of SWC Safety who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service for account access and help) are granted access to personally identifiable information.  The computers/services in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Responsibility for External Sites

While using our website, you may encounter hypertext links to the Web pages of other informational or government websites or organizations not directly affiliated with SW Compliance and Safety Training Institute.   All SWC Safety website pages, are subject to this privacy policy.  SWC Safety though does not control the content or information practices of external organizations, government websites or other vendor websites that have useful information.  We recommend you review the privacy statements of these organizations.

Surveys and Contests

From time-to-time our site requests information via surveys or contests.  Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore; to disclose this information.  Information requested may include contact information (such as name, email and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level).  Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes.  Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this website.
